GONG BATH

w/Meredith Foss

Join Meredith Foss for an hour sound bath session with the sacred gong. In the Kundalini Yoga tradition, gongs are used in savasana to induce relaxation and healing. The gong is a powerful instrument that vibrates all of your energetic bodies. Blocks of energy can be released and divine messages may arise.

The gong is one of the oldest sacred instruments on Earth, with origins reaching back more than 4,000 years into ancient Asia. Archaeological evidence places its roots in regions that are now China, Tibet, Burma, and India, where it was forged not as a musical instrument—but as a portal of power.
Across cultures, the gong was revered as a cosmic tool, used by priestesses, healers, and ceremonial guardians. Its sound marked births, rituals, rites of passage, and sacred gatherings. In temples and healing chambers, it was used to clear stagnant energy, purify space, and call in protection. In shamanic traditions, the gong’s deep resonance was believed to open pathways between worlds, guiding souls through healing journeys.
Within ancient mystery schools, the gong was honored as a carrier of the First Sound—the primordial vibration from which all creation emerged. Many believed its voice echoed the cosmic Om—the frequency of origin—capable of reorganizing energy and awakening dormant parts of the soul.

INTRO TO ACRO-YOGA at UP YOGA

Acro-Yoga is a playful and challenging way to expand your yoga practice. Using 2 or more bodies to cultivate strength and balance, Acro provides the space to expand your ability to be vulnerable and trusting with other people. This practice will build the foundations for beginner acro-practitioners to get comfortable with basing, flying and spotting. We will use our knowledge and creativity to explore how we can "lift" each other up in unique positioning, while emphasizing the practice of using your voice to speak your needs and truth!

In this two-hour experience, Justyn (assisted by her partner Adam) will guide you through exercises and postures that will teach you how to find your center while you are balancing on another body, how to be a strong foundation to support your partner while they are in the air and how to be a comforting support while your friends are elevated off the ground!

No prior experience or partner is required to attend this workshop. Just an open mind and a curiosity to explore your practice!

When: Sunday October 11th

 Where: Up Yoga

 Cost: $45
